Barking at the Wrong Tree

I'm from the Philippines and I am proud to be a Filipino but sometimes when I hear ill news about my country, it hurts. I've tried to be quiet about the issue that's happening right now, then I read entries from my friends' blogs about it only conclude to one thing... (but first let me quote the entries that moved me.)

I refuse to watch the news. It's so depressing! On one hand, I have given up on Arroyo, and I truly believe that she cannot and will not be able to lead us out of this shit. It goes beyond the whole wiretapping scandal, it's really just how she is, and how she runs her government.

Here's my point of view in this situation:
+ If all of the people in the government are not corrupt, we'll have a peaceful life.
+ If all of the people have discipline on their everyday life, we'll have a good life.
+ If all of the people here has work, we won't be labeled as one of the third class countries.
+ If all of the people here realize this and do something about it... heck, I'd say "UTOPIA". (catch my drift?)

Every one has their own issues. People like me doesn't really care anymore about what the government in this country has been doing. It's all fucked up anyway. I'd say go for Marshal Law and be done with it. At least there will be discipline in the country. Although, it wouldn't be much fun but (hey) if it works, right?

My mother and father fought for rights & freedom over these lands when I was a kid (First EDSA Revolution). Tried to free us from Marshal Law when it was already too much and strangling each individuals. Ever since I could remember, my summer vactions when I was a child, my brother and I would play in parks with our 'yaya' as our parents would be somewhere on the other side of the road holding flags or posters... standing on picket line. I've seen too many; too much; As I grew up, I don't want to be involved anymore. Tear gases gawddamn hurts, you know? and I have weak lungs but yeah, I haven't experienced being tear gased but I know it hurts.

So, I'd like to tell all you government people out there. Wake up and don't just smell the coffee... all promises and no resaults. (gawd I hate that on people... making promisses that they cannot keep. this also refers on our daily lives.)
