True Friends
This is what I think. There are differences between acquaintances, friends, and true friends.
Acquaintances = you know him/her; chat with them; but you don't care much about their life
Friends = connected to you in some ways; be there for them; listen to their problem; be more concerned about them; and they are always there for you.
True Friends = friends that you have gone through all obstacles with; even if you guys rarely talk you guys still have this certain 'connection' that will never ever fade. you give everything that you can in your powers to help them; be there for them through hardship, sadness, and laugher; a true friend never expects too much from each other. And it's just like having a relationship but less intimate.
